Ubbink dormer kits comprise a set a pre-manufactured elements delivered in individual packs ready for on-site assembly and installation. The unique and simple system enables a dormer window to be completed and weather-proof in one day.
If you've been contracted to add a dormer window, or are looking for a DIY solution, the Ubbink dormer kit is the answer.
The side walls and roof are made from a sandwhich construction of two layers of GRP, with insulation infill providing a U-value of 0.25 W/m2K. The use of GRP provides a low maintenance and long life unit
An integral gutter in the roof means that the roof is fitted as one piece and requires no further weatherproofing.
The side walls and roof are supplied white as standard, but can be pre-coated to any colour in the factory. The window is an optional extra so that an alternative window can be fitted to match others on the property if required.
The kit can be fitted to almost any standard tiled or slate roof from 35° to 55°.
Ubbink are ISO 9001 and UKAS Quality Management Registered.
The Kit
The dormers are supplied in complete packs ensuring everything arrives on-site together, with no need to chase up missing parts. The kit comprises:
- Side walls with drainage channels
- Roof with integrated gutter
- Sealing tapes and fixings
- Lead Flashing (Red/Grey Reversible)
- Comprehensive fixing instrcutions
- Window (optional)
The only additional materials required are timber to provide a seating frame, and to reinforce any cut rafters.
